Low weight

Installation is simple and can be handled by one person. The transport case can be rolled up and put aside, with the RainFly struts stored in the cross pockets.
Removable RainFly tarpaulin
The rainfly is removable and you can use the TentBox LITE in Summer Mode, which offers faster operation and a minimalist look. However, the tent still retains resistance to light rain and showers, but the window openings must be closed.
Double skylights
The double skylight and large side windows offer unforgettable 360° panoramic views of the surroundings, sunsets and starry skies. All window openings have integrated insect screens.

Car roof load for mounting a Tentbox car tent
These few steps will help you with the selection and subsequent operation of your TentBox car tent. As the owner and driver driving with a TentBox installed, you are responsible for ensuring that you are always safe. It is extremely important to take safety seriously and exercise caution when installing and using your TentBox. CHOOSING ROOF RACKS, CARAVAN AND THEIR COMPATIBILITY WITH YOUR CAR
Roof racks
Make sure your roof racks meet the following:
- They come from a reputable manufacturer
- They have been tested according to EU standards (e.g. TUV test).
- They are compatible with the type and model of your vehicle.
- They have a sufficient maximum load limit for your chosen TentBox motorhome.
- They are made of aluminum alloy and have an oval shape (aerodynamically shaped, referred to as "aero", or "wing"), rather than a square shape.
- They have a design called "overhanging brackets", i.e. the rails extend beyond the anchoring feet and offer more space for installation.
Car roof load
Make sure that the maximum permissible roof load of your car matches the weight of the TentBox car tent.
INSTALLATION OF ROOF RACKS AND TENTBOX MUST BE CARRIED OUT SAFELY AND ACCORDING TO THE MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS
Make sure that:
- Roof racks are installed according to the manufacturer's installation instructions.
- Follow the assembly instructions for the given TENTBOX car tent model.
- The TentBox is securely closed before driving.
- Tighten the roof racks firmly to your vehicle after installing the TentBox. This step is very important as the racks will loosen more easily after the first load of the heavier weight of the tents.
Why is tightening the roof racks important and necessary?
The roof bars will loosen slightly after the first load of more weight, so it is essential that you retighten them to ensure your TentBox remains securely attached to your vehicle.
You should do this immediately after the first time you load the roof racks with a heavy load, for example after sleeping on them overnight.
Roof racks will generally stay more secure for longer after retightening. However, you should then regularly check your adjustment as outlined below.
Perform and regularly check the installation of your TentBox and roof racks – before every ride and every 150 km during breaks and stops, and always drive correctly.
Above all, make sure that:
- Regularly check that your roof bars are securely attached to the vehicle according to the manufacturer's instructions and that none of the components are damaged. Tighten the racks as needed, and usually at least every 2-3 months.
- Regularly check that your TentBox is securely attached to the roof rack and that none of the components are damaged.
- Drive at a reasonable speed and never exceed the speed limit.
- Pay due attention to the change in your vehicle's driving behavior when the TentBox is installed on your car, taking into account crosswind sensitivity and cornering and braking behavior.
- Pay due attention to the change in height of your vehicle when the TentBox is installed on your car. The height of your vehicle can increase by up to 90 cm (depending on your roof bars), so be aware of low entrances and low-hanging branches.
You can set up anywhere you can park your car. This includes parking lots, rest areas, and of course, campsites. You are high above the ground, so you don't have to worry if it's wet and muddy!
The speed of set-up is an absolute luxury and makes the idea of camping enjoyable. If it rains or the wind blows, it's no problem because you'll be prepared and in a matter of minutes you'll be inside and enjoying the view from above.
It's a cost-effective way to convert your car into a camper van. After the initial investment, traveling is cheap - there are plenty of places to park and sleep, and campsites are much more affordable than hotels.
